Pavilion Rentals

How many picnic tables come with each Pavilion?
Groff- 8 picnic tables 16’x 24’7” will seat 50 people
Mill River- 8 picnic tables 52’ x 29’ will seat up to 120
people |
Can I rent a field
along with a pavilion?
Yes! Groff Park fields are available by reservation for an
additional fee of $25/hour. Reservations must be made
separately for fields, however, by calling Bob Brandts, LSSE Sports
Director, at 413-259-3144. Click here for field information. |

Is there a security deposit?
Not at this time. |

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations need to be received in writing 30 days prior to the
event in order to receive a refund minus a $10 processing fee. |

Can date changes be made?
Yes. You may change the date of your reservation as long as your
request is made in writing and received 30 days prior to the date you have
reserved and the new date is available. There is a $10 processing fee. |

Do we accept purchase orders?
Yes, we do accept purchase orders. |

Permits-Do they have to come in to pick them up or
can we mail them?
Permits may be mailed, emailed or picked up at our office on 70
Boltwood Walk, Amherst, MA. You must have the permit with you on the
day of the event. |

Trash disposal?
As a way to help keep the cost affordable to rent our pavilions we
require you to carry out your trash and leave the pavilions clean. |

Is there electricity available at either pavilion?
No. |

Are there bathrooms at the Pavilions?
Yes, there are bathrooms at both of the pavilions. Groff Park will
be undergoing renovation this spring to replace the previous bathrooms
with modern facilities; meanwhile we are providing port-a-potties. One is
handicap accessible. |
How to I get to
Mill River Recreation Area?
From the University of Massachusetts: Follow Commonwealth Avenue
north until it becomes Governors Drive. At the intersection of Governor’s
Drive and North Pleasant Street take a left to Route 63N. Go past the
Wysocki House, past Pufton Village. At the intersection of Pine Street
and North Pleasant Street go through the traffic light bearing right. Go
past the small business plaza that houses the Post Office and
restaurants. There will be a structure on the right called the Old Mill.
Immediately following the Old Mill there is a small sign indicating the
Mill River Recreation Area. Take a right at this sign as it is the turn
off into the park/recreation area.
Once in the park, bear
to the right into the parking lot. The pavilion is located behind the
swimming pool building at the end of the parking lot.
