Red Crossing Lifeguard Training

Age 15 to adults. you must be at least 15 years
old by the last day of the class. (Proof of age should be brought to the first
class). In this course you will learn about the duties and responsibilities of a
lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. you will also
learn how to use surveillance techniques and rescue equipment and how to manage
a suspected spinal injury victim. Prerequisite swimming skills are required for
entry into the Lifeguard Training course. Contact LSSE at 259-3065 for further
information. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certificate. You will also receive
certificates for CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Community First Aid.
Sunday, April 29 from 10 am-6 pm is mandatory CPR training.
