Adult "Sandlot" Kickball
Do you have fond memories of playing kickball on the playground as a kid? Is that inner 10 year old still alive, kicking, and looking for ways to be expressed? Then we may have just the program for you!!! This fall we will be kicking off the inaugural season of adult Sandlot Kickball which will be open to adults of any age or ability level - all you have to bring to the field is your fun-loving spirit, your sense of humor, and the desire to play a classic sport with other like-minded adults. Dates, times and location are all TBA. Contact Molly Korbett(253-2719) if you are interested in playing this fall.

Adult "Sandlot" Dodgeball

You've seen the movie and now it's time to try it for yourself. The Valley Dodgeball League (VDBL) has come to Amherst and they're looking for folks who want to have some fun playing one of the fastest growing sports around. This is NOT the game you used to play in school PE classes as there are just 5-6 players per team and only two balls are in play at any given time. It's active, it's fun and ALL levels of interest/ability are welcome to play. This program is adults (ages 16+) only. Questions? Call Mike Pfeiffer at 253-2719.

Open "Sandlot" Baseball for Adults

Are you over 35 and finding yourself looking back wistfully on the days when you used to play sandlot baseball every chance you could get? Do you miss the feel of a baseball slapping in your mitt or of hitting a ball on the "sweet spot" of your favorite wood bat? If so we may have the program for you - afternoons filled with playing catch, taking batting practice, fielding ground balls, and playing pick-up baseball games. This is a VERY informal program with a focus on having fun and enjoying playing the game of baseball-there will be NO leagues, NO uniforms, and NO tolerance for overly competitive players. You should bring a glove and a WOODEN bat (aluminum/composite bats will NOT be allowed) and I will supply the baseballs. Sounds good? If so, call Steve Walkowicz at 253-7164 or email him at swalkowicz@yahoo.com so you can be put on the list of players.
