Welcome to the Dogsack Custom Footbag Gallery:

After fifteen years of sackmaking evolution, here's some of the bags I make these days. These one-of-a-kind, hand sewn, deerskin and synthetic sacks are available for lease, trade or purchase via mail, at summer folk festivals and other enlightened gatherings and outdoor sporting events -- or in person, from me, in Western Massachusetts. =-) Feedback on my designs is always welcomed. Copy freely my original designs if you wish, but please, be courteous and 1.) credit me 2.) let me know you're using my patterns. Enjoy your visit and come back soon!

"...Although I once tried earning a living making footbags, today I sew them mainly for the love of it..."

...This actually allows me to get real creative with the medium. I love playing with different materials, textures and vibrant colors, while inventing and perfecting new and old designs. I've experimented with scores of common as well as some totally gonzo designs. These days I only make one or two footbags a day, if that. Hence, each one is a totally unique, custom product. I have not made two identical, yet!

"Dogsack" footbags have been warmly received and joyously kicked for over a decade at tournaments, folk festivals, Rainbow Gatherings, college campuses, Dead shows, rest areas, gymnasiums, health clubs and street corners across North and Central America. Dogsack prides itself on also teaching the sewing craft to hundreds of men and women, boys and girls of all ages and persuasions in the US, Mexico, Canada and Central America.

For three years now I've been experimenting with attaching "wings", bells, "ribs", "tails" and even feathers to various footbag designs. I love the wild and festive look and how they make the bag float through the air. They also make it easier to visually track the footbag. The winged sacks are proving themselves popular among experts and beginners! I myself could dance all day with light yet bouncy "Bag-osaurus", so airy, yet perfectly round and true. But, of course, I'm hopelessly biased -- so we'd appreciate your feedback on the subject!

Are you at all crafty? Perhaps you like making your own clothes, dream catchers, medicine bags, toys or other useful or sacred objects... If so, you may just love to sew bags, too. I'd love to offer to teach you and have you design and contribute your own wild creations for this online footbag showcase.

But, if you also want one of my (deerskin or synthetic) Dogsacks, click on the order form now. Custom orders are welcomed by special arrangement. You will like your Dogsack footbag... seguro!
