Mail filters in Netscape 4.x
Setting up mail filters in Netscape 4.x is very easy. Open Netscape Mail. Click on the Edit menu and go to Message Filters...
That will open the window shown below.
To create a filter you will first click on the New button. In this example we'll filter email as it arrives and automatically delete the mail that matches our rule (or filter). To do that
In theFilter Name, give the filter a name, in this one, we call is Spam Filter
Next, you can select "Match any of the following"
The Sender of the message Contains @spamsite.com
then Delete
For this example we're going to have any mail that comes from spamsite.com deleted. Once you have entered the information as in the above example, you can press OK. This will bring up the box shown below.
Click on OK to close this screen and go back to reading mail, or click on any of the other buttons to add more filters, modify or delete any existing filters. For complete information about how to create filters please refer to the online help provided with Netscape. |
